The favourites of Emperor Honorius - John William Waterhouse - Canvas Oil Painting
At a Glance
The favourites of Emperor Honorius by John William Waterhouse is one of those images that never dates. Our studio recreates it as a hand painted oil painting — textured, color-rich, and ready to hang as canvas wall art in a living room, study, or reception area.
About the Artwork
circa 1883
Oil on canvas
205 x 119.3 cm
Art Gallery of South Australia, Australia.
The fine art subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of pre-raphaelite oil painting wall decor.
Materials & Craftsmanship
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of The favourites of Emperor Honorius by eye and build up the fine art forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished fine art oil painting its luminosity.
