From the first sketch to the final varnish, The Fisherman is made by hand. Based on Pierre-Auguste Renoir's original. This impressionist oil painting wall decor is crafted on artist-grade canvas for anyone who wants wildlife oil painting with the character of an original.
1874
Oil on canvas
Private collection.
As living room wall decor, the piece pairs naturally with other impressionist wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of The Fisherman by eye and build up the wildlife forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished wildlife oil painting its luminosity.
Hang this wildlife oil painting above a sofa, console, or bed to give a living room an instant focal point. Its impressionist palette works with both minimalist and period interiors, and the piece also makes a considered gift for housewarmings, weddings, and art lovers.
In short: The Fisherman - Pierre-Auguste Renoir - Hand Painted Oil Painting combines an impressionist composition, a 100% hand painted oil painting process, and the flexibility of made-to-order canvas sizes — a dependable choice for wildlife oil painting and living room wall decor.
