The Great Statue of Amida Buddha at Kamakura - John La Farge - Oil Painting
Product Overview
Looking for fine art oil painting with real brushwork? The Great Statue of Amida Buddha at Kamakura is reproduced by hand in oils on artist-grade canvas after John La Farge. The result is a piece of vintage oil painting wall decor that anchors an entryway and rewards a closer look.
Composition & Subject
Known as the Diabutsu, from the Priest's Garden
circa 1886
watercolor
Metropolitan Museum of Art, United States.
Every hand painted oil painting in this fine art series is finished on artist-grade canvas and checked against the original before it leaves the studio.
How It Is Made
From primer to varnish, the work is done manually on artist-grade canvas. The absence of digital printing is deliberate: it keeps the fine art brushwork visible and gives the vintage oil painting wall decor a museum-like finish.
