The Mystic Wood - John William Waterhouse - Pre-Raphaelite Canvas Wall Art
About This Piece
Upgrade your walls with The Mystic Wood - John William Waterhouse - Pre-Raphaelite Canvas Wall Art. Every landscape reproduction is painted entirely by hand, so the surface carries the depth and variation of an original oil painting rather than the flatness of a digital canvas print.
The Story Behind the Painting
circa 1914-1917
Oil on canvas
97.79 cm (38.5 in.) x 146.05 cm (57.5 in.)
Queensland Art Gallery, Australia.
The landscape subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of pre-raphaelite oil painting wall decor.
100% Hand Painted on Canvas
From primer to varnish, the work is done manually on artist-grade canvas. The absence of digital printing is deliberate: it keeps the landscape brushwork visible and gives the pre-raphaelite oil painting wall decor a museum-like finish.
