The Otter Speared, the Earl of Aberdeen's Otterhounds - Edwin Henry Landseer - Dining Room Wall Art
About This Piece
From the first sketch to the final varnish, The Otter Speared, the Earl of Aberdeen's Otterhounds is made by hand. Based on Edwin Henry Landseer's original. This vintage oil painting wall decor is crafted on artist-grade canvas for anyone who wants fine art oil painting with the character of an original.
Composition & Subject
circa 1844
Oil on canvas
200 x 153.7 cm
Laing Art Gallery, England.
Every hand painted oil painting in this fine art series is finished on artist-grade canvas and checked against the original before it leaves the studio.
How It Is Made
From primer to varnish, the work is done manually on artist-grade canvas. The absence of digital printing is deliberate: it keeps the fine art brushwork visible and gives the vintage oil painting wall decor a museum-like finish.
