About the Artwork
1882
Oil on canvas
54 cm (21.26 in.) x 73 cm (28.74 in.)
Private collection.
Every hand painted oil painting in this cityscape series is finished on artist-grade canvas and checked against the original before it leaves the studio.
How It Is Made
From primer to varnish, the work is done manually on artist-grade canvas. The absence of digital printing is deliberate: it keeps the cityscape brushwork visible and gives the impressionist oil painting wall decor a museum-like finish.
