The Porch with the Old Mosaics, St. Marks, Venice by Maurice Brazil Prendergast

The Porch with the Old Mosaics, St. Marks, Venice - Maurice Brazil Prendergast - Canvas Oil Painting

Product Overview

The Porch with the Old Mosaics, St. Marks, Venice - Maurice Brazil Prendergast - Canvas Oil Painting suits both traditional and modern interiors. As a seascape oil painting, it works as a standalone focal point or as part of a dining room gallery wall, and unlike a print it is genuinely hand painted in oils.

The Story Behind the Painting

circa 1898-1899
watercolor and pencil on paper
Private collection.

Every hand painted oil painting in this seascape series is finished on artist-grade canvas and checked against the original before it leaves the studio.

Materials & Craftsmanship

Oil on canvas remains the reference standard for traditional reproductions. Our artists apply pigment by hand, blending the seascape tones directly on the surface for depth that a printed seascape oil painting simply cannot match.
