The Sick Awaiting the Passage of Jesus - James Tissot - Entryway Wall Decor
Product Overview
Nothing softens an entryway like a painted surface. The Sick Awaiting the Passage of Jesus by James Tissot arrives as a hand painted oil painting on canvas, offering the fine art detail, soft gradients, and tactile finish that fine art oil painting shoppers look for.
The Story Behind the Painting
Les malades attendant le passage de Jésus
1886-1894
Opaque watercolor over graphite on gray wove paper
Brooklyn Museum, United States.
The fine art subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of romantic oil painting wall decor.
100% Hand Painted on Canvas
Trained artists work in stages — underpainting, mid-tones, highlights, and detail — using traditional oils on canvas. Because nothing is printed, every hand painted oil painting has its own subtle texture and depth.
