Upgrade your walls with The Sojourn in Egypt - James Tissot - Living Room Wall Decor. Every fine art reproduction is painted entirely by hand, so the surface carries the depth and variation of an original oil painting rather than the flatness of a digital canvas print.
Le séjour en égypte
1886-1894
Opaque watercolor over graphite on gray wove paper
Brooklyn Museum, United States.
Warned of impending danger in a dream, Joseph escaped Bethlehem and fled with his family to Egypt, evading Herod's murderous plan. Carrying Jesus in her arms, Mary resumes the chores of daily life here, fetching water against the backdrop of the Egyptian landscape, distinguished by the palm trees and the island of Rhodes, which Tissot had sketched on one of his research trips to the Middle East in the late 1880s. Mindful of connecting the narratives of the Old and New Testaments, Tissot reminds readers that Moses was found on Rhodes by Pharaoh's daughter.
Every hand painted oil painting in this fine art series is finished on artist-grade canvas and checked against the original before it leaves the studio.
Each canvas is painted entirely by hand with professional oil paints on artist-grade cotton canvas. No printing, giclée, or digital imaging is used at any stage, so the surface keeps the slight relief and color variation of real brushwork.
This fine art oil painting wall decor is equally at home in a residence, a boutique hotel, or a professional office. Its elegant character makes it a safe, distinctive gift for anyone furnishing a living room.
In short: The Sojourn in Egypt - James Tissot - Living Room Wall Decor combines an elegant composition, a 100% hand painted oil painting process, and the flexibility of made-to-order canvas sizes — a dependable choice for fine art oil painting and living room wall decor.
