The West Highlands and the Sound of Mull by Francis Cadell

The West Highlands and the Sound of Mull - Francis Cadell - Canvas Oil Painting

About This Piece

From the first sketch to the final varnish, The West Highlands and the Sound of Mull is made by hand. Based on Francis Cadell's original. This timeless oil painting wall decor is crafted on artist-grade canvas for anyone who wants fine art oil painting with the character of an original.

The Story Behind the Painting

The West Highlands and the Sound of Mull has the kind of quiet presence that suits a hallway without dominating it after Francis Cadell. Our artists work from the original image in stages, building the fine art forms in oil on canvas. The finished piece sits comfortably alongside fine art oil painting and other timeless wall art.

100% Hand Painted on Canvas

This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of The West Highlands and the Sound of Mull by eye and build up the fine art forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished fine art oil painting its luminosity.
