About the Artwork
LE CHAMP DE BLé DEVANT L'éGLISE
circa 1907
Oil on panel
'Show nature when it's beautiful. Everything has its moment of beauty. Beauty is the fulfillment of seeing. Seeing is fulfilled by simplicity and order. Simplicity and order are produced by dividing legible surfaces and grouping compatible colours.'
As dining room wall art, the piece pairs naturally with other post-impressionist wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.
Materials & Craftsmanship
Expect subtle, hand-made variation rather than factory uniformity. Each landscape canvas is painted with oils, allowed to cure properly, and inspected before it is approved for shipment.
