About This Piece
View in the Forest of Fontainebleau - Gustave Courbet - Canvas Oil Painting brings gallery-caliber art into everyday spaces. The Story Behind the Painting
1855
Oil on canvas
32.3 x 40.2 in
Rijksmuseum, Netherlands.
Collectors often choose this landscape image when searching for landscape oil painting that feels substantial rather than decorative or disposable.
Materials & Craftsmanship
Trained artists work in stages — underpainting, mid-tones, highlights, and detail — using traditional oils on canvas. Because nothing is printed, every hand painted oil painting has its own subtle texture and depth.

- Every landscape canvas is hand painted in oils; no mechanical or digital reproduction at any stage.
- An extra 2-inch blank border is left around all edges for easy stretching and framing.

- Available canvas sizes for this hand painted oil painting: 20 X 24 in, 24 X 36 in, 30 X 40 in, 36 X 48 in, 48 X 72 in.
