Woman in Blue (At the Ransons') by Edouard Vuillard

Woman in Blue (At the Ransons') - Edouard Vuillard - Canvas Wall Art

About This Piece

Nothing softens a dining room like a painted surface. Woman in Blue (At the Ransons') by Edouard Vuillard arrives as a hand painted oil painting on canvas, offering the figurative detail, soft gradients, and tactile finish that portrait oil painting shoppers look for.

The Story Behind the Painting

1895
Oil on board
Private collection.

The figurative subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of post-impressionist oil painting wall decor.

100% Hand Painted on Canvas

This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Woman in Blue (At the Ransons') by eye and build up the figurative forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished portrait oil painting its luminosity.
