119 cm (46.85 in.) x 122 cm (48.03 in.)
Museo Nacional del Prado, Madrid, Spain.
One of a series of artworks that Goya produced to be used for the manufacture of tapestries. The resulting tapestry was displayed in the dining room at the Palace of El Prado for the furture King Carlos IV.
Every hand painted oil painting in this still life series is finished on artist-grade canvas and checked against the original before it leaves the studio.
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Boys Picking Fruit by eye and build up the still life forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished still life oil painting its luminosity.
Hang this still life oil painting above a sofa, console, or bed to give an entryway an instant focal point. Its classical palette works with both minimalist and period interiors, and the piece also makes a considered gift for housewarmings, weddings, and art lovers.
In short: Boys Picking Fruit - Francisco de Goya - Oil Painting Wall Decor combines a classical composition, a 100% hand painted oil painting process, and the flexibility of made-to-order canvas sizes — a dependable choice for still life oil painting and entryway wall decor.
