Landscape or Street in the South by Henri Matisse

Landscape or Street in the South - Henri Matisse - Oil Painting for Dining Room

About This Piece

Choose Landscape or Street in the South as a hand painted oil painting and skip the compromise of printed wall decor. Based on Henri Matisse's original. Our artists rebuild the cityscape composition stroke by stroke, producing fauvist canvas wall art with lasting color depth.

The Story Behind the Painting

Paysage Ou Rue Dans Le Midi, 1918

As dining room wall art, the piece pairs naturally with other fauvist wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.

Materials & Craftsmanship

Oil on canvas remains the reference standard for fauvist reproductions. Our artists apply pigment by hand, blending the cityscape tones directly on the surface for depth that a printed cityscape oil painting simply cannot match.
