About the Artwork

Oil on canvas
134.5 cm (52.95 in.) x 117.5 cm (46.26 in.)
National Gallery of Art - Washington DC, United States.
One of four portraits by Goya of Maria Teresa with whom he maintained a lifelong friendship. The Condesa wears fashionable attire of a lady of the Spanish court as she poses at the edge of a terrace. Goya may have manipulated the setting to enhance the image of the young sitter.
Our artists reproduce this fine art composition in oil on canvas by hand, preserving the tonal range that makes fine art oil painting so sought after for a hallway.
