Portrait of the Poet Francois Berthault - Raoul Dufy - Oil Painting Wall Decor
Product Overview
Portrait of the Poet Francois Berthault - Raoul Dufy - Oil Painting Wall Decor suits both traditional and modern interiors. As a portrait oil painting, it works as a standalone focal point or as part of a dining room gallery wall, and unlike a print it is genuinely hand painted in oils.
The Story Behind the Painting
1925
Oil on paper laid down on canvas
32 x 25 5/8 in. (81.3 x 65.1 cm.)
Our artists reproduce this figurative composition in oil on canvas by hand, preserving the tonal range that makes portrait oil painting so sought after for a dining room.
Materials & Craftsmanship
Oil on canvas remains the reference standard for fauvist reproductions. Our artists apply pigment by hand, blending the figurative tones directly on the surface for depth that a printed portrait oil painting simply cannot match.
