The Story Behind the Painting
circa 1732
Oil on canvas
77 x 126 cm (30.3 x 49.6 in)
Royal Collection Trust (UK) - Hampton Court Palace, United Kingdom.
The landscape subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of timeless oil painting wall decor.
100% Hand Painted on Canvas
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Return of the Bucintoro at the Mole on Ascension Day by eye and build up the landscape forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished landscape oil painting its luminosity.
