Sculpture and Vase of Ivy 1916 - Henri Matisse - Oil Painting
About This Piece
Upgrade your walls with Sculpture and Vase of Ivy 1916 - Henri Matisse - Oil Painting. Every still life reproduction is painted entirely by hand, so the surface carries the depth and variation of an original oil painting rather than the flatness of a digital canvas print.
The Story Behind the Painting
The composition of Sculpture and Vase of Ivy 1916 balances still life detail with a calm, considered palette after Henri Matisse. Reproducing it in oils lets the brushwork breathe: subtle shifts in tone, softened edges, and a surface that changes with the light in your home office. It is a natural fit for still life oil painting and for anyone building a collection of fauvist canvas wall art.
How It Is Made
Oil on canvas remains the reference standard for fauvist reproductions. Our artists apply pigment by hand, blending the still life tones directly on the surface for depth that a printed still life oil painting simply cannot match.
