From the first sketch to the final varnish, Sharp and Calm (Scharf-Ruhig) is made by hand. Based on Wassily Kandinsky's original. This abstract oil painting wall decor is crafted on artist-grade canvas for anyone who wants fine art oil painting with the character of an original.
Sharp and Calm (Scharf-Ruhig) has the kind of quiet presence that suits a bedroom without dominating it after Wassily Kandinsky. Our artists work from the original image in stages, building the fine art forms in oil on canvas. The finished piece sits comfortably alongside fine art oil painting and other abstract wall art.
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Sharp and Calm (Scharf-Ruhig) by eye and build up the fine art forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished fine art oil painting its luminosity.
Hang this fine art oil painting above a sofa, console, or bed to give a bedroom an instant focal point. Its abstract palette works with both minimalist and period interiors, and the piece also makes a considered gift for housewarmings, weddings, and art lovers.
