The Bullfight - Francisco de Goya - Wildlife Oil Painting Wall Decor brings gallery-caliber art into everyday spaces. This wildlife oil painting is a 100% hand painted oil painting on canvas, created for buyers who want genuine classical canvas wall art instead of a mass-produced poster or paper print.
1777-1780
Oil on canvas
259 cm (101.97 in.) x 136 cm (53.54 in.)
Museo Nacional del Prado, Madrid, Spain.
One of a series of designs for tapestries that were to hang in the bedroom of the Prince of Asturias (later Charles IV) and his wife Maria Luisa of Parma. The subject matter shows two young boys improvising as bullfighters in a not too convincing urban scene.
Collectors often choose this wildlife image when searching for wildlife oil painting that feels substantial rather than decorative or disposable.
Materials matter for classical wall decor. That is why this piece is built on artist-grade canvas with lightfast oil colors, applied by hand rather than output from a printer, and sealed for long-term display.
Style it over a fireplace, behind a reading chair, or along a staircase. Wherever it goes, this classical oil painting wall decor adds the layered color that only a hand painted canvas provides.
