The Burial of the Sardine - Francisco de Goya - Hand Painted Oil Painting
At a Glance
From the first sketch to the final varnish, The Burial of the Sardine is made by hand. Based on Francisco de Goya's original. This classical oil painting wall decor is crafted on artist-grade canvas for anyone who wants fine art oil painting with the character of an original.
About the Artwork
circa 1808-1819
Oil on wood
Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, Spain.
Every hand painted oil painting in this fine art series is finished on artist-grade canvas and checked against the original before it leaves the studio.
How It Is Made
Trained artists work in stages — underpainting, mid-tones, highlights, and detail — using traditional oils on canvas. Because nothing is printed, every hand painted oil painting has its own subtle texture and depth.
