From the first sketch to the final varnish, The Kairouan Style Moderately Adapted is made by hand. Based on Paul Klee's original. This abstract oil painting wall decor is crafted on artist-grade canvas for anyone who wants fine art oil painting with the character of an original.
1914
After Klee’s visit to Tunisia, where he was inspired by the quality of light, he returned home with the determination to be a painter, which was something he previously was unable to call himself. This led him to create this painting, a composition of simple colored shapes, and was the first purely abstract painting created by Paul Klee. This composition is an illustration of Klee’s ability to use intonations of color to evoke a musical feeling. He begins the composition with the large rectangle in the center, then builds upon it’s strength and color to build the remainder of the composition, which flows from the first large note.
Every hand painted oil painting in this fine art series is finished on artist-grade canvas and checked against the original before it leaves the studio.
Each canvas is painted entirely by hand with professional oil paints on artist-grade cotton canvas. No printing, giclée, or digital imaging is used at any stage, so the surface keeps the slight relief and color variation of real brushwork.
This fine art oil painting wall decor is equally at home in a residence, a boutique hotel, or a professional office. Its abstract character makes it a safe, distinctive gift for anyone furnishing a home office.
