The Parasol by Francisco de Goya is one of those images that never dates. Our studio recreates it as a hand painted oil painting — textured, color-rich, and ready to hang as canvas wall art in a dining room, study, or reception area.

Oil on canvas
104 cm (40.94 in.) x 152 cm (59.84 in.)
Museo Nacional del Prado, Madrid, Spain.
The royal tapestries were manufactured to illustrate popular themes and Goya's appointment as their designer was prompted by the neo-classical painter Mengs. 'The Parasol' was part of a series to decorate the chambers of the Crown Prince in the Palace of El Prado.
Collectors often choose this fine art image when searching for fine art oil painting that feels substantial rather than decorative or disposable.
Materials matter for classical wall decor. That is why this piece is built on artist-grade canvas with lightfast oil colors, applied by hand rather than output from a printer, and sealed for long-term display.
Style it over a fireplace, behind a reading chair, or along a staircase. Wherever it goes, this classical oil painting wall decor adds the layered color that only a hand painted canvas provides.
