The Regatta at Argenteuil by Claude Monet is one of those images that never dates. Our studio recreates it as a hand painted oil painting — textured, color-rich, and ready to hang as canvas wall art in a home office, study, or reception area.
c. 1872
Oil on canvas.

Musée d'Orsay, France.
Claude Monet painted The Regatta at Argenteuil in 1872. After a brief stay in Paris, Monet moved his family out of the city to Argenteuil. A quiet and attractive town on the right bank of the Seine and on a regular railway stop, it was a popular retreat for weekend visitors. During his first summer in this new location, Monet occupied himself with a familiar subject: boats in full sail under the summer sun.
The fine art subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of impressionist oil painting wall decor.
From primer to varnish, the work is done manually on artist-grade canvas. The absence of digital printing is deliberate: it keeps the fine art brushwork visible and gives the impressionist oil painting wall decor a museum-like finish.
As office wall decor, this canvas brings color and texture without visual noise. It scales well from a small study to a large home office feature wall, and it is a reliable choice when shopping for fine art oil painting as a gift.
Choose your preferred canvas size at checkout, request a custom dimension, and we will email a digital proof for approval before dispatch. Worldwide delivery, free stretching on wooden bars, and a 45-Day Satisfaction Guarantee are standard on every order.
Whether the search term is fine art oil painting, office wall decor, or impressionist oil painting wall decor, this hand painted canvas delivers the same thing: a real painted surface, made to your chosen dimensions.
