Nothing softens a hallway like a painted surface. The Tenderfoot by Charles Marion Russell arrives as a hand painted oil painting on canvas, offering the fine art detail, soft gradients, and tactile finish that fine art oil painting shoppers look for.
1900
Oil on canvas
Sid Richardson Collection of Western Art, United States.
Russell painted other versions of "cowboy fun," but when it came to a tenderfoot dancing to the tune of a .45 he obviously took extra delight in the performance, which had the ring of an initiation rite--the West introducing itself to the East. Presumably, if the dude proves himself a good sport there will be slaps on the back and a round of drinks afterward. But no matter the outcome, the tenderfoot is the future and will one day displace his tormentors. If the old West chose to go out with a bang and a roar of laughter, Russell as its greatest eulogist was not about to shed tears over the discomfiture of a tenderfoot or two.
Our artists reproduce this fine art composition in oil on canvas by hand, preserving the tonal range that makes fine art oil painting so sought after for a hallway.
Materials matter for refined wall decor. That is why this piece is built on artist-grade canvas with lightfast oil colors, applied by hand rather than output from a printer, and sealed for long-term display.
Style it over a fireplace, behind a reading chair, or along a staircase. Wherever it goes, this refined oil painting wall decor adds the layered color that only a hand painted canvas provides.
Whether the search term is fine art oil painting, hallway wall art, or refined oil painting wall decor, this hand painted canvas delivers the same thing: a real painted surface, made to your chosen dimensions.
