The Walk in the Park of Andalusia - Francisco de Goya - Bedroom Wall Art
About This Piece
Nothing softens a bedroom like a painted surface. The Walk in the Park of Andalusia by Francisco de Goya arrives as a hand painted oil painting on canvas, offering the landscape detail, soft gradients, and tactile finish that landscape oil painting shoppers look for.
The Story Behind the Painting
1777
Oil on canvas
275 cm (108.27 in.) x 190 cm (74.8 in.)
Museo Nacional del Prado, Madrid, Spain.
A cartoon for a tapestry depicting young encounters in the park. The tapestries were destined for the Palacio del El Pardo, Madrid, for the Prince of Asturias, the future Charles IV.
Every hand painted oil painting in this landscape series is finished on artist-grade canvas and checked against the original before it leaves the studio.
How It Is Made
Expect subtle, hand-made variation rather than factory uniformity. Each landscape canvas is painted with oils, allowed to cure properly, and inspected before it is approved for shipment.
