Composition & Subject
1909-1912
Oil on canvas
67.5 cm (26.57 in.) x 81 cm (31.89 in.)
Munch-museet, Oslo, Norway.
Every hand painted oil painting in this landscape series is finished on artist-grade canvas and checked against the original before it leaves the studio.
100% Hand Painted on Canvas
From primer to varnish, the work is done manually on artist-grade canvas. The absence of digital printing is deliberate: it keeps the landscape brushwork visible and gives the expressionist oil painting wall decor a museum-like finish.
