Venice: Caprice View with a Palladio Design for the Rialto - Canaletto - Seascape Canvas Wall Art
Product Overview
Venice: Caprice View with a Palladio Design for the Rialto by Canaletto is one of those images that never dates. Our studio recreates it as a hand painted oil painting — textured, color-rich, and ready to hang as canvas wall art in a home office, study, or reception area.
About the Artwork
circa 1743-1744
Oil on canvas
90.5 cm (35.63 in.) x 130 cm (51.18 in.)
Royal Collection Trust (UK) - Buckingham Palace, London, United Kingdom.
The Rialto Bridge spans the Grand Canal. Palladio, the great 16th century Italian architect, designed a bridge to repace the then wooden structure. The bridge that is here today was designed by Antonio da Ponte, 1588-90.
Every hand painted oil painting in this seascape series is finished on artist-grade canvas and checked against the original before it leaves the studio.
100% Hand Painted on Canvas
Oil on canvas remains the reference standard for traditional reproductions. Our artists apply pigment by hand, blending the seascape tones directly on the surface for depth that a printed seascape oil painting simply cannot match.
