Venice: The Canale di S. Chiari towards the Lagoon - Canaletto - Oil Painting
Product Overview
Venice: The Canale di S. Chiari towards the Lagoon - Canaletto - Oil Painting suits both traditional and modern interiors. As a seascape oil painting, it works as a standalone focal point or as part of a home office gallery wall, and unlike a print it is genuinely hand painted in oils.
The Story Behind the Painting
circa 1723-1724
Oil on canvas
Royal Collection Trust (UK) - Hampton Court Palace, United Kingdom.
As office wall decor, the piece pairs naturally with other romantic wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.
Materials & Craftsmanship
Trained artists work in stages — underpainting, mid-tones, highlights, and detail — using traditional oils on canvas. Because nothing is printed, every hand painted oil painting has its own subtle texture and depth.
