During the winter of 1888, Monet visited Antibes in southern France. Under the Mediterranean sun his colors became lighter and brighter, and his paint surfaces more thickly impastoed. "What I bring back from here," he wrote, "will be sweetness itself, white, pink, and blue, all enveloped in a magical air." The brilliant colors -- warm pinks, corals, cool greens, and blues -- embody the sun-soaked atmosphere of the Mediterranean coast.
Our artists reproduce this landscape composition in oil on canvas by hand, preserving the tonal range that makes landscape oil painting so sought after for a gallery wall.
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Gardener's House at Antibes by eye and build up the landscape forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished landscape oil painting its luminosity.
Hang this landscape oil painting above a sofa, console, or bed to give a gallery wall an instant focal point. Its impressionist palette works with both minimalist and period interiors, and the piece also makes a considered gift for housewarmings, weddings, and art lovers.
Order Gardener's House at Antibes as a hand painted oil painting on canvas and add lasting impressionist character to your gallery wall. Custom sizes, a digital proof before dispatch, and secure worldwide shipping are included.
