Poplars on the Banks of the River Epte - Claude Monet - Oil Painting suits both traditional and modern interiors. As a landscape oil painting, it works as a standalone focal point or as part of a home office gallery wall, and unlike a print it is genuinely hand painted in oils.
1891-1892
Oil on canvas

National Galleries of Scotland, Scotland.
While Claude Monet was working on his series of poplars, such as the Poplars on the Banks of the River Epte (1891-1892), he received the distressing news that the land was up for sale and the trees sold for lumber.
First he petitioned the village council to reverse their decision, and, when they refused, he struck a deal with a wood merchant, and they bought the land together. With his investment, Monet convinced the merchant to allow the trees to stand at least until he finished his series of 24 canvases.
Our artists reproduce this landscape composition in oil on canvas by hand, preserving the tonal range that makes landscape oil painting so sought after for a home office.
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Poplars on the Banks of the River Epte by eye and build up the landscape forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished landscape oil painting its luminosity.
Hang this landscape oil painting above a sofa, console, or bed to give a home office an instant focal point. Its impressionist palette works with both minimalist and period interiors, and the piece also makes a considered gift for housewarmings, weddings, and art lovers.
