About This Piece
Samois, the Riverbank, Morning - Paul Signac - Canvas Oil Painting brings gallery-caliber art into everyday spaces. The Story Behind the Painting
1901
Oil on canvas
65 cm (25.59 in.) x 81 cm (31.89 in.)
Private collection.
The landscape subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of post-impressionist oil painting wall decor.
How It Is Made
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Samois, the Riverbank, Morning by eye and build up the landscape forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished landscape oil painting its luminosity.
