Looking for landscape oil painting with real brushwork? Bulb Fields is reproduced by hand in oils on artist-grade canvas after Vincent van Gogh. The result is a piece of post-impressionist oil painting wall decor that anchors a bedroom and rewards a closer look.
Flower Beds in Holland
1883
Oil on canvas
National Gallery of Art - Washington DC, United States.
Vincent painted this small study of bulb fields in flower during his second year in The Hague. The light and luminous colors of the blooming fields mark the passing beauty of the spring season. His low point of view offers a panoramic vista, the bright plots seeming to rise to meet the low horizon. The darker, earth-toned forms of the thatched cottages, with bare-branched trees beside them, give the composition a firm basis.
The landscape subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of post-impressionist oil painting wall decor.
This is a genuine hand painted oil painting, not a canvas print. Our painters match the palette of Bulb Fields by eye and build up the landscape forms in thin layers, which is what gives the finished landscape oil painting its luminosity.
Hang this landscape oil painting above a sofa, console, or bed to give a bedroom an instant focal point. Its post-impressionist palette works with both minimalist and period interiors, and the piece also makes a considered gift for housewarmings, weddings, and art lovers.
