Field with Poppies - Vincent van Gogh - Post-Impressionist Oil Painting brings gallery-caliber art into everyday spaces. This still life oil painting is a 100% hand painted oil painting on canvas, created for buyers who want genuine post-impressionist canvas wall art instead of a mass-produced poster or paper print.
1889
Oil on canvas
71 cm (27.95 in.) x 91 cm (35.83 in.)
Kunsthalle Bremen, Germany.
During his first weeks in the asylum at Saint-Remy, Vincent was confined to the hospital grounds. But by the middle of his second month, he was allowed to work in the fields under staff supervision. The high point of view of Field with Poppies may indicate that Vincent saw the scene from his second-story window, but the fresh color has the vitality of plein-air painting.
As entryway wall decor, the piece pairs naturally with other post-impressionist wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.
Each canvas is painted entirely by hand with professional oil paints on artist-grade cotton canvas. No printing, giclée, or digital imaging is used at any stage, so the surface keeps the slight relief and color variation of real brushwork.
This still life oil painting wall decor is equally at home in a residence, a boutique hotel, or a professional office. Its post-impressionist character makes it a safe, distinctive gift for anyone furnishing an entryway.
In short: Field with Poppies - Vincent van Gogh - Post-Impressionist Oil Painting combines a post-impressionist composition, a 100% hand painted oil painting process, and the flexibility of made-to-order canvas sizes — a dependable choice for still life oil painting and entryway wall decor.
