Choose Green Ears of Wheat as a hand painted oil painting and skip the compromise of printed wall decor. Based on Vincent van Gogh's original. Our artists rebuild the landscape composition stroke by stroke, producing post-impressionist canvas wall art with lasting color depth.

Although Vincent chose the naturalist technique of painting outside, his landscapes draw their power from the combination of observation and experience. In Green Ears of Wheat, he portrayed the view as it appeared before him—tall corn plants rising above a field of poppies with a stand of trees at the horizon, their leaves blue-green against the changing sky. But his application of paint heightens the expressive force. Long strokes of layered color make the corn stalks flutter, poppies nod beneath the weight of thick impasto, and the streaks of pale tone convey the movement of the clouds.
As dining room wall art, the piece pairs naturally with other post-impressionist wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.
We use a 100% hand-painted process: stretched artist-grade canvas, layered oil pigment, and a final protective varnish. There are no inkjet prints or mechanical reproductions in this collection — just a painted landscape artwork made to order.
Build a dining room gallery wall around this landscape oil painting, or let it stand alone as a single statement. The hand painted canvas finish keeps the landscape composition looking intentional in both classic and contemporary rooms.
