Still Life: Drawing Board, Pipe, Onions and Sealing Wax - Vincent van Gogh - Still Life Canvas Wall Art suits both traditional and modern interiors. As a still life oil painting, it works as a standalone focal point or as part of a bedroom gallery wall, and unlike a print it is genuinely hand painted in oils.

Vincent van Gogh's Still Life: Drawing Board, Pipe, Onions and Sealing Wax was painted in 1888, shortly after van Gogh returned to the Yellow House following a two-week stay in the hospital. Weak from loss of blood and shaken from what he called his "artist's fit," van Gogh immediately set to painting, as if to prove to himself and others that he would recover his mental, as well as his physical, health through work.
Van Gogh began as if reviewing his skills, with a few still-life compositions, such as Still Life: Drawing Board, Pipe, Onions and Sealing Wax,using the symbols from his chair portrait, Vincent's Chair with His Pipe, to reaffirm his identity.
As bedroom wall art, the piece pairs naturally with other post-impressionist wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.
Materials matter for post-impressionist wall decor. That is why this piece is built on artist-grade canvas with lightfast oil colors, applied by hand rather than output from a printer, and sealed for long-term display.
Style it over a fireplace, behind a reading chair, or along a staircase. Wherever it goes, this post-impressionist oil painting wall decor adds the layered color that only a hand painted canvas provides.
