The Fortifications of Paris with Houses - Vincent van Gogh - Canvas Wall Art
About This Piece
Choose The Fortifications of Paris with Houses as a hand painted oil painting and skip the compromise of printed wall decor. Based on Vincent van Gogh's original. Our artists rebuild the cityscape composition stroke by stroke, producing post-impressionist canvas wall art with lasting color depth.
Composition & Subject
1887
watercolor gouache, chalk, graphite
The Whitworth - University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
Our artists reproduce this cityscape composition in oil on canvas by hand, preserving the tonal range that makes cityscape oil painting so sought after for a home office.
How It Is Made
Oil on canvas remains the reference standard for post-impressionist reproductions. Our artists apply pigment by hand, blending the cityscape tones directly on the surface for depth that a printed cityscape oil painting simply cannot match.
