The Garden of the Asylum in Saint-Remy - Vincent van Gogh - Oil Painting
About This Piece
The Garden of the Asylum in Saint-Remy by Vincent van Gogh is one of those images that never dates. Our studio recreates it as a hand painted oil painting — textured, color-rich, and ready to hang as canvas wall art in a dining room, study, or reception area.
Composition & Subject
1889
Oil on canvas
73.5 cm (28.94 in.) x 92 cm (36.22 in.)
Museum Folkwang, Essen, Germany.
As dining room wall art, the piece pairs naturally with other post-impressionist wall art and with warm neutrals, timber, and soft natural light.
100% Hand Painted on Canvas
Trained artists work in stages — underpainting, mid-tones, highlights, and detail — using traditional oils on canvas. Because nothing is printed, every hand painted oil painting has its own subtle texture and depth.
