Choose The Ploughed Field as a hand painted oil painting and skip the compromise of printed wall decor. Based on Vincent van Gogh's original. Our artists rebuild the landscape composition stroke by stroke, producing post-impressionist canvas wall art with lasting color depth.

Van Gogh Museum, Netherlands.
Vincent van Gogh painted The Ploughed Field in 1888. With thick strokes of yellow ocher, van Gogh worked the patterns of the ploughed field onto his canvas.
Individual brush strokes are evident, creating a descriptive texture through color. In the sky, it is possible to observe every time van Gogh lifted his brush as he applied the heavy pigment. He wrote to his brother Theo demanding more tubes of paint: "I need another dozen of white zinc as soon as possible."
The landscape subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of post-impressionist oil painting wall decor.
We use a 100% hand-painted process: stretched artist-grade canvas, layered oil pigment, and a final protective varnish. There are no inkjet prints or mechanical reproductions in this collection — just a painted landscape artwork made to order.
Build a bedroom gallery wall around this landscape oil painting, or let it stand alone as a single statement. The hand painted canvas finish keeps the landscape composition looking intentional in both classic and contemporary rooms.
