View of Arles. Orchard in Bloom with Poplars in the Forefront - Vincent van Gogh - Canvas Oil Painting suits both traditional and modern interiors. As a landscape oil painting, it works as a standalone focal point or as part of a dining room gallery wall, and unlike a print it is genuinely hand painted in oils.
1889
Oil on canvas

Bayerische Staatsgemaldesammlungen, Germany.
In his 1889 work titled View of Arles. Orchard in Bloom with Poplars in the Forefront, Vincent van Gogh returned to the subject that gave him inspiration after his arrival in Arles. The lighter, silvery character of his blue and green palette in View of Arles. Orchard in Bloom with Poplars in the Forefront conveyed the sense of nature's fresh renewal, and his deft even stroke, which evokes a gentle breeze stirring the grasses, conveys the tranquility and promise Vincent van Gogh associated with the spring season. But the twisted trunk of the tree recalls the intensity Vincent infused into the motif of Sower with Setting Sun the previous year.
The landscape subject is rebuilt stroke by stroke in oil, giving the finished canvas the depth expected of post-impressionist oil painting wall decor.
From primer to varnish, the work is done manually on artist-grade canvas. The absence of digital printing is deliberate: it keeps the landscape brushwork visible and gives the post-impressionist oil painting wall decor a museum-like finish.
As dining room wall art, this canvas brings color and texture without visual noise. It scales well from a small study to a large dining room feature wall, and it is a reliable choice when shopping for landscape oil painting as a gift.
